  • Enhancing Wellness and Managing Depression

    Date/Time: Thursdays, 2:30-4:00pm
    Location: Main CAPS Office

    This group will include peer support discussions about improving mood, motivation, and managing depression. The group will include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as well as how to recognize and disengage from negative thoughts and rumination.

  • Family and Relationships Groups (ADP)

    This is a 7-week process and support group for students who have loved ones with substance use issues or other mental health problems. Learn to identify your role, set boundaries, get support, and take care of yourself so that you can thrive.   • Graduate Student Process Group (Mondays)

  • Healing With Yoga and Sound

    Date/Time: Tuesdays, 1:00-2:00pm
    Location: Location info will be sent to participants

    This drop-in group focuses on healing all forms of trauma (sexual, physical, emotional, racial, etc.) through movement and sound. Sound meditations and approaches will include drumming, the use of crystal bowls, and gongs. This group is open to all genders. Open to new members throughout the quarter.

  • Healing, Encouraging, & Rising Together (HEART) - for Latinas

    This group will focus on creating connections; where Latinas can feel respected, validated, and affirmed. The aim is to help students find relief, gain awareness, and helpful coping strategies for managing the psychological impacts of oppression.

  • True Selves Process Group

  • Yoga as Healing

    These group yoga classes will provide survivors of sexual violence a means of becoming reacquainted with their bodies and allow exploration of the benefits of mindfulness.  Open to all genders.

  • Yoga for Emotional Wellness

    Date/Time: Fridays, 3:30-4:45pm
    Location: Main CAPS Office

    These group yoga classes will support students in managing common emotional difficulties, particularly those associated with depression and anxiety. Students can expect to benefit from the use of yoga poses, breathing practices, guided meditation, and yoga philosophy.

  • A Tribe Called Sis

    A Tribe Called Sis is a Sister Circle that provides a space for all Black women at UCSB to experience healing, give and receive support to one another, and explore issues unique to the experience of Black women.

  • HAAPI: Supporting Healthy Asian American Pacific Islanders

    HAAPI is an informal support and discussion space for South Asian, Southeast Asian, East Asian, Pacific Islander, multi/bi-cultural and multi/bi-racial identified students at UCSB.  We discuss a range of suggested topics each week over Asian Snacks with guest speakers (See our flyers). Topics range from family dynamics, stereotypes and social/cultural expectations, intersecting identities, and to personal/emotional well being.

TAMING ANXIETY - This 3-week consecutive series is a short, powerful intervention to help manage anxiety. Learn what anxiety is and develop a personalized plan to manage symptoms effectively and with self-compassion.  3 week commitment.

STRESS REDUCTION - This workshop will help with gaining practical skills to tackle stress, learning signs of stress, and tips on how to get a better night's rest. It will review the impact of stress on sleep, mental health, and academic success.

IMPOSTER SYNDROME - Imposter syndrome is a psychological pattern in which an individual doubts their accomplishments and has a persistent, internalized fear of being exposed as a "fraud." This workshop explores this concept and provides tips on how to manage these feelings.
