The United State Supreme Court released a historic decision to protect the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). This is a positive step for all the DACA recipients on our campus and in our communities everywhere. Together, we celebrate this righteous moment for our students, and acknowledge the long and hard road it took to get here.
We understand that it has been a difficult process awaiting the DACA ruling, particularly in the midst of other stressors caused by the pandemic and the national climate. We are committed to supporting the well-being, safety, and success of our undocumented students.
While we celebrate what this victory means for immigrant communities, we also acknowledge the ongoing challenges they face, particularly those who do not hold DACA status.
