Hello! My name is Isabel Campos (she/her/ella), and I’m currently a postdoctoral fellow at UCSB Counseling and Psychological Services. I earned my PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University, California School of Professional Psychology. My clinical interests include life transitions such as adjusting to college, navigating adulthood or relationships, and facing aging. As well as women’s mental health, identity exploration, family and generational trauma, and self-development.
As a bilingual Mexican American and Panamanian clinician, I’m passionate about supporting the mental health of Latina women and individuals with first-generation experiences. I believe in honoring both the strength and the struggle that come with navigating intersecting identities, cultural expectations, and personal growth.
In therapy, I take a humanistic and Gestalt-informed approach, centered on empathy, curiosity, and collaboration. I aim to support clients in developing confidence, emotional flexibility, and greater self-awareness, helping them reconnect with their needs, values, and aspirations.
I also have experience with psychological assessment, neuropsychology, substance use, family dynamics, and social skills development. My work is grounded in a culturally responsive and relational lens, always attuned to the larger systems that shape individual experiences.
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active, spending time at the beach and in nature, and supporting small businesses. Nurturing community and staying close to my cultural roots are essential to my sense of balance and belonging.
