About

Hello! I’m Nina (she/her), and my journey across cultures has deeply shaped the way I show up as a therapist. Growing up in China, I learned to value collective harmony and solidarity; moving to the U.S. taught me the power of individual voice and authenticity. Holding both perspectives, I strive to create a space where you feel safe to bring all parts of your story—especially those that don’t fit neatly into dominant cultural narratives.

I approach therapy with cultural humility, curiosity, and openness, believing that healing happens through relationships and storytelling. Narrative therapy is at the heart of my work, and I often integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), cognitive-behavioral strategies, mindfulness, and family systems thinking to help people reclaim agency, explore identity, and find meaning in times of struggle.

I especially enjoy supporting students navigating cultural transitions, family expectations, identity exploration, grief, trauma, and experiences of marginalization. My goal is to honor your story, empower you to challenge limiting narratives, and co-create new possibilities that feel authentic to you.

Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy making coffee and tea, experimenting with aromatherapy, playing badminton and board games with friends, and spending time in nature.
