Counseling Psychology, University of Iowa
Main CAPS Building
Welcome to UCSB CAPS! Making the decision to seek support is a significant step, and I am here to offer a compassionate and inclusive space for your journey towards healing and growth. Originally from Taiwan, I earned my PhD in counseling psychology at the University of Iowa and completed my internship and postdoctoral training at the University of Pennsylvania Student Health and Counseling. I am deeply committed to providing culturally appropriate care, acknowledging the impact of marginalization, inequality, and identity. I specialize in supporting international/immigrant students, BIPOC, twice-exceptional students (those who have high ability and a coexisting disability), and first-generation college students. Furthermore, being fluent in Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese, I strive to offer linguistically accessible care and provide counseling services and consultations in these languages. Whether you're navigating relationship concerns, trauma, grief and loss, career challenges, or adjusting to life transitions, I am here to listen and offer support. I incorporate mindfulness, creative arts, social justice, and advocacy into my clinical practice, tailoring each session to meet your unique needs and strengths. In my free time, I find joy in playing the piano, practicing yoga and meditation, exploring the performing arts, traveling, and spending time in nature with loved ones. I look forward to supporting you on your journey towards mental health and wellness.
