ABR Services Now Available at CAPS

Services including assessment, counseling, education, and safety information related to alcohol, cannabis, nicotine, other substances, gaming, gambling, device or screen management, pornography, other addictive behaviors, and recovery supportive services are now available to students through Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS).

A team of licensed therapists provides free and confidential counseling to UCSB students who are self-referred, referred by others, or concerned about someone else.

Our services utilize evidence-based and harm reduction approaches that are aimed at promoting healthy choices and reducing high-risk behavior. Services include connections and referrals to other professionals on campus and in the community.

Note for Continuing Students: The former Alcohol & Drug Program (ADP) has restructured. All services previously offered under ADP continue to be available through CAPS and Health & Wellness under the new Addictive Behaviors & Recovery (ABR) framework. While this may change the way you start services, this will not impact any students currently being seen for these services.
