What up Gauchos! My name is Adam, and I believe that therapy, at its best, is built on genuine human connection. My therapeutic approach is rooted in humanistic and person-centered principles, emphasizing authenticity, empathy, curiosity, and the importance of meeting people where they are. I strive to create a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where you can show up as yourself, feel genuinely understood, and explore whatever life happens to be throwing your way. I also draw from different therapeutic perspectives and techniques to meet your unique needs. After all, there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to being human, so why should there be one for therapy? At the end of the day, I believe real recognizes real. I make an effort to bring my authentic self into the therapy room, and I invite you to do the same.
I’m particularly drawn to helping people better understand themselves, navigate meaningful relationships, explore their identities and values, and make sense of life’s challenges and changes. I recognize that these experiences are shaped by our cultural, social, and relational contexts, and I strive to honor these dimensions in our work together. I’m especially passionate about working with people from diverse backgrounds, including those from historically marginalized and underrepresented communities. My clinical interests also include student-athletes, couples and relationship concerns, substance use, and supporting students navigating conduct concerns.
Outside of the therapy room, you’ll probably find me exploring the outdoors with my dog, finding good food and cute spots around town, enjoying the ocean, or getting overly enthusiastic about a new hobby. I’m a big believer in staying curious, finding joy in the little things, and remembering that none of us have it all figured out—and that’s okay.
