Hello and Salaam! My name is Anam Khan and I identify as a Pakistani, Muslim woman from the Bay Area. I am honored to serve the student body here at UC Santa Barbara and look forward to working with you. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about CAPS services and providers!

I believe therapy is a collaborative process and my goal as a therapist is to create a space where you feel empowered and honored as you navigate your feelings and experiences. I am deeply committed to integrating principles of social justice and multiculturalism through a trauma-informed lens in our work together to not only foster individual healing, but collective healing and equity. My approach to therapy honors your identity, culture, and how the systems around us impact our mental health and well-being. My areas of professional interest include understanding and breaking cycles of intergenerational trauma, complex trauma, intimate partner violence, navigating identity, and emotional dysregulation. I value the opportunity to work with individuals from marginalized and underrepresented identities.

Outside of therapy I enjoy baking/cooking, crafting, and hanging out with my cat Sage. I love the fall and spooky season!
