About

Hello! My name is Elle Knowlton (she/her), and I am a student therapist in the M.A. Counseling Psychology program at Pacifica Graduate Institute, expected to graduate in Spring 2027. I am currently completing my practicum training at UCSB Counseling & Psychological Services and New Beginnings Counseling Center, where I work with clients across diverse life stages and presenting concerns.
I approach therapy from a depth-oriented and relational lens, rooted in curiosity, empathy, and the belief that healing emerges through connection and self-discovery. I am especially drawn to the intersections of creativity, grief, and identity, as well as the ways in which cultural, familial, and archetypal narratives shape who we are and who we are becoming.
With a background in vocal performance and the arts, I bring a creative and integrative perspective to my therapeutic work, often attuned to the expressive, symbolic, and embodied dimensions of our human experience. I am passionate about supporting individuals in navigating the tensions between struggle and possibility, loss and renewal, breakdown and breakthrough.
Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy songwriting, teaching voice lessons, and spending as much time as possible in our beautiful Santa Barbara backyard!
