Hi there! My name is Jessica, but please call me Jess, and I identify as a cis-gendered, ace, Taiwanese-American from the Bay Area. I look forward to working with you!
To me, therapy can be be a safe, confidential, supportive space for you to process life’s challenges. I believe in a person’s innate ability to heal the self and that we often just need the awareness, tools, or guidance to champion our own mental wellness journey. I work from a strengths-based, integrative perspective, incorporating third-wave cognitive behavioral therapies (i.e., acceptance and commitment therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy) with multicultural, social justice, and trauma-informed perspectives. I love helping people identify ways to live a more values-congruent, authentic life. I especially value the opportunity to work with marginalized folks who may not have had the chance to explore their own mental health before.
In case you’re curious, in my spare time, I can be found being active and exploring the outdoors 50% of the time and the other 50% cocooning at home with my rescue dog, Jingle.
