Hi! I’m Pavani, a psychologist originally from New Delhi, India. I moved to the U.S. to pursue my passion for psychology and earned my doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from The George Washington University. Before that, I worked in New Delhi as a counseling psychologist, providing individual and group therapy for young adults.

I’m trained in psychodynamic therapy and love integrating mind-body approaches. I particularly enjoy helping young adults navigate the unique challenges of transitioning into adulthood. I incorporate systemic and cultural factors into my work, and I’m passionate about working with international students.

In therapy, I focus on building a genuine connection. My relational approach means we’ll explore patterns in your relationships—both in and out of therapy—to help you gain deeper self-understanding. I bring curiosity, support, and playfulness to our sessions and adapt my approach to your unique needs, identity, and cultural context. I specialize in areas like immigrants’ mental health, neurodiversity, anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief.

Outside of work, you’ll find me practicing yoga, meditating, dancing, or spending time in nature with my cat, Maya.
